Our home front team

…is supportive to us in all kind of practical issues and things that need to be done. Things like prayer updates, managing news letters and sending out information, registration of finances and maintaining contacts. Our home front team (HFT) can also be a connection-point between you and us, where ever we are. If you have a question or if you want to ask something, then please ask them! Our HFT is also a ‘trigger’ for us, they trigger us to think about issues, they pray along and help in all kind of practical issues.

Our HFT exists of a small group of enthusiastic people.

Erik Schot…

Since 4,5 years I am married with Michelle. She comes from Malaysia. We are very happy with our 3 year old daughter. My profession is assistance-designer is Rotterdam. Michelle and I know Mart-Jan and Talitha mainly from youth work that we’ve done together during summers. Our shared faith in Jesus Christ and our aim to work in the Kingdom of God resulted in our friendship and shaped it as well. We love them together with their kids Joy en Micha.

For long I am touched by the fact that so many people are unknown with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are heading towards eternity without Him. Therefore we are happy that Mart-Jan & Talitha’s desire is to go to the mission field. However, we will miss them. We’re also happy that we can support them with prayer and also in being part of the HFT. By doing so we labour together for His Kingdom. Michelle supports me in this. It is my desire to serve the Lord in the HFT faithfully.

René & Stijntje van der Maas…

We are René & Stijntje van der Maas, living in Oost-Souburg. Brother and sister-in-law of Mart-Jan & Talitha. We enjoy 3 kids, Nathan (9 years old), Elise (7 years old), and Joaz (8 months old). We’re both 31 years young;-). René works as a restaurant manager in Restaurant ‘Duinzicht’ located in Koudekerke, besides this he helps young people who struggle, or get stuck at school (or at home). Stijntje works parttime as a coach to youth with a autistic-disorder in Middelburg. We also work at a children’s club once a month, and on Sunday’s we visit a local church in Oost-Souburg. We enjoy visiting the city of Almere every now-and-then and feel ‘home’ in ‘de Wegwijzer’, a local church there, as well.

We have been asked to join the HFT last Summer (2016), and after much thought and prayers we decided to join. René will have a more active, forefront role, Stijntje will have a more supportive role.

We are exited to see what the future will bring!
